Every year we celebrate Navratri festival to worship Maa Durga. We do Durga puja at the time of Shardiya Navratri. This time of the year is considered to be most appropriate and auspicious time to worship Maa Durga. Every religious day of Navratri, Maa Durga is worshipped in her different incarnations. She gives happiness, power and knowledge to her devotees. On the first day Maa Shailputri is worshipped. Second day is dedicated to Maa Brahamacharini. Third day is devoted to Maa Chandraghanta. Fourth day Maa Kushmanda Devi is worshipped, while on the fifth day Maa Skandmata is worshipped. Sixth day is Maa Katyayani is worshipped, seventh day Maa Kalraatri, eighth day Maa Mahagauri and ninth day Maa Siddhidaatri is worshipped. We celebrate Navratri’s with weaker section of the society and undertake donation of food, cloth and other essential items among the poor people.
