“Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer or give away, and whatever austerities you perform, O son of Kunti, do that as an offering unto Me.”
Food is more than a physical necessity—it is an expression of love, compassion, and divine grace. According to the Vedic tradition, when food is lovingly prepared, offered to God, and shared with others, it becomes Prasadam, carrying the blessings of the Divine. Serving such sanctified food is not merely an act of charity; it is an act of worship.
Inspired by this timeless wisdom, Shri Shri Gita Society runs the SSGS Food for Life Seva initiative, dedicated to ensuring that no one sleeps hungry. Every meal is prepared with devotion, offered to the Divine, and distributed with dignity among underprivileged families, homeless individuals, daily wage workers, and people living in slum communities.
Through the “Feeding Empty Stomachs” campaign, the Society has already distributed over 120,000 nutritious meals and continues its mission of reaching one million meals. Our long-term vision is to establish one of India’s largest daily food distribution initiatives, spreading hope, nourishment, and compassion to those in need.
Driven by the vision of a Hunger-Free India, our dedicated volunteers regularly reach underserved communities with freshly prepared meals, dry ration kits, and emergency food support during times of crisis. Every meal served is a step toward restoring dignity, inspiring hope, and expressing the universal values of love, selfless service, and oneness.
