Shri Gita Society was founded on 12th January 2019 with the sacred vision of inspiring humanity through timeless spiritual wisdom, inner transformation, universal love, compassion, meditation, selfless service, and the eternal values of Sanatana Dharma.
Every year, the Society celebrates its Foundation Day with profound devotion and spiritual joy. The day is especially auspicious as it also commemorates the Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, whose vision of awakening humanity through character, service, and spiritual strength continues to inspire our mission.
This sacred occasion is further blessed as it is also the Appearance Day of the Founder and President of Shri Shri Gita Society, H.H. Swami Shri Trigunatitananda Ji Maharaj, whose life is dedicated to spreading spirituality, meditation, universal values, and compassionate service across the world.
The celebration brings together spiritual seekers, scholars, devotees, and well-wishers from India and many countries, creating a vibrant atmosphere of devotion, cultural harmony, and universal brotherhood.
The Foundation Day is observed as a two-day spiritual celebration.
On the first day, the Society conducts large-scale humanitarian service inspired by the timeless principle:
“Service to Humanity is Service to the Divine.”
Food, clothing, educational resources, and essential supplies are distributed among underserved communities, reflecting the spirit of compassion, generosity, and selfless love.
On the second day, devotees gather for a grand Spiritual Festival featuring Vedic prayers, meditation, devotional music, bhajans, kirtans, inspiring spiritual discourses, and collective prayers for world peace and universal well-being. The celebration becomes a beautiful expression of inner awakening, love, unity, and devotion.
A special highlight of the occasion is the release of the Society’s annual multilingual magazine, Abhyutthānamdharmasya, published in Hindi, English, Spanish, and German. The magazine shares spiritual insights, humanitarian initiatives, timeless wisdom from the Vedas, Upanishads, Yoga, Vedanta, the Bhagavad Gita, inspiring articles, and the Society’s global activities, making India’s spiritual heritage accessible to readers around the world.
The Foundation Day is more than an annual celebration—it is a global gathering dedicated to awakening consciousness, nurturing compassion, strengthening human values, and inspiring humanity to live with wisdom, love, peace, and selfless service.
